As the Principal of Cherry Creek Cabinetworks, Inc. Gary is responsible for all phases of business & design development. It’s from his background and knowledge that design principles, business acumen and integrity have been developed which poise Cherry Creek Cabinetworks, Inc. to become one of the leaders in the Kitchen and Bath industry in South Central Minnesota.
Gary brings with him over 20 years of experience directly in the kitchen and bath industry, as well as over 28 years in the construction industry. Gary has demonstrated over the years an ability to create spectacular designs that capture the vision of his clients. His patient nature makes it easy to consider the different options when developing conceptual plans as well as choosing the many different options available today. Gary has a unique ability to design many different styles; whether it’s French Country, Soft Modern, Contemporary, Craftsman or Southwestern he enjoys developing the theme and carrying it through to every detail.
Gary has the distinction of being licensed as a Certified Kitchen Designer by the National Kitchen & Bath Association. The CKD certification is acquired only after 7 years of experience in the industry and a rigorous 2 day exam which tests not only the candidates construction knowledge but also evaluates his/her ability to solve design issues in a creative and functional manner.
Gary and his wife Denise, along with their mellow Cocker Spaniel, Ella, moved from Marshall to Mankato and are enjoying the Mankato region and all that it has to offer. Gary enjoys golf, woodworking, hiking, dogs, traveling and spending time with his family.
Garrick A. Rudolf, Client Services Manager/Designer
Garrick literally grew up in the business. He has always lived in a home being remodeled or personally involved in the building process if it was a new home. Garrick is our qualifying staff member holding our Minnesota General Contractors License.
He has an extremely broad knowledge of the construction process, and has personally built several homes performing all phases of the construction. His calm and reassuring personality is an essential ingredient during the construction process. If an unexpected situation should arise during a remodel or cabinet installation, it’s a pretty safe bet that he’s encountered it before. If he hasn’t, his nature is to thoughtfully consider the options, discuss it with the client and proceed after a decision is made.
In addition to his construction background, Garrick has a discerning and creative eye that’s always looking for the creative solution – not just the easy solution. His sense of color and proportion are always sought out by our team and add that critical element that we call “Sensitivity to Detail.”
Garrick lives in North Mankato with his wife Julie and daughters Mikayla, Anna & Kaitlyn as well as their Brittany Spaniel aka “terror on paws” Mollie. He enjoys going to events with his family, golf, pheasant hunting, competitive marching bands, music, landscaping, and visiting with friends and clients.

Nicole Wolters, Interior Designer
Nicole was born and raised on a farm just outside the ‘big’ town of Norseland, MN. If you haven’t heard of it, she is not surprised. Fresh from the farm, Nicole graduated from Iowa Lakes Community College, receiving her Associate Science degree in Computer Aided Drafting and Design(CADD). It wasn’t long after she became a graduate of Minnesota State University, Mankato holding a Bachelor of Science Degree in Interior Design.
While riding in the car one day to work, the radio posed Nicole with a question. What would you do, if you knew you couldn’t fail? Interior design was the first answer that popped into her head. So what was holding her back … nothing is impossible with God. It was at that moment she realized everything she was taught growing up on that farm: be selfless, relentless and defeat your impossibles. Nicole is now an interior design assistant and brings all she has learned to work everyday.
With her history in space planning and utilization, and her eye for detail, she is a great addition to our team. The closeness of the community she grew up in reflects her design and personality. She takes a sincere, personable approach with each client. It is her goal to fulfill her client’s vision, while incorporation a timeless tradition in this ever changing world.
Nicole now lives in St. Peter with her husband Brad and daughter Karissia. She is looking forward to welcoming a new baby boy in April, 2014. As far as hobbies go, it’s spending time with family and volunteering at her local church. If she finds time in between she enjoys crafts, cooking, landscaping, and jogging.
John Odegard, Installation Technician
John is Cherry Creek’s in-house installation technician. He brings his very personable attitude and perfectionist work ethic with him to work everyday. Always easy to talk to, John does his best to keep the customer informed of the progress of their project and is committed to each one as if it was in his own home.
Having grown up in the construction business, John has the reputation of his hard-working family to live up to.
You can always count on John to do the very best he can in every situation. He is driven by the belief that it is always best to take the time to do things right the first time.
John has lived in a lot of places and has made a lot of friends, but is now quite happy to call North Mankato his home. He is a devoted husband to wife, Jenna and they are excited to be welcoming a new baby girl in January, 2014. When he’s not installing cabinetry, John enjoys playing the guitar, various arts and riding his motorcycle and bicycle.
Kim Bristol, Office Manager
Kim rounds out the Cherry Creek family as our office manager. Her main responsibility is crunching numbers and keeping the showroom running on an even keel, but has really enjoyed getting to know the clients and watching their projects come to life.
Whether it’s paper, paint or a new sweater, Kim is a self-proclaimed lover of color. Although she’s the first to admit that she came here six years ago knowing nothing about designing kitchens, she has learned a lot and is amazed by the incredible transformations she is lucky enough to be involved with.
Kim lives in Mankato with her husband Corey and four children – Jordan, Haley, Logan & Sommer. When she’s not running to games, programs and activities, she enjoys scrapbooking, making jewelry, shopping, decorating and time with friends.
Christina came to us last winter as student of Kitchen & Bath Design from Century College in Woodbury, MN. In May, 2013, we made her a full time Design Assistant.
